The Global Telco Player was seeking an optimization of the IT service deployment process on the data center infrastructure, i.e. the setup and configuration of IT solutions (e.g. virtual servers, storage).

The Telco Company called us to:
outline manual tasks to be performed during service deployments through Process Mining discovery, in order to understand potential candidate activities for automation and potential automation benefits on the whole process
automate of some activities through Robotic Process Automation
After the Process Mining analysis, some activities were identified for potential automation.
The first to be implemented by Bip Consulting was the set of the tasks related to servers configuration:
API-based automation technology allowed to shrink elapsed by more than 90%
Process discovery and analysis was implemented in less than 4 weeks.
RPA automation reduced operation costs by 9 FTEs (7 Build engineers and 2 QA testers relocated to higher value activities) and improved business unit satisfaction, reducing the average delivery time from 40 to 3 days.
The entire project lasted 4 months.
